Last time we stopped, the party had just slain a powerful drow wanderer who had been sneaking through the village, Rhea, far from home, on the outskirts of town. Emil had spotted some ghastly humanoid creatures on the SE edge of town near the base of the Roanarke Mts. devouring cattle in the still of night, but ruled out investigating it to pursue more pressing matters. Jithren had cast a powerful illusion spell to make Jessup and his men think they were being pursued by a red dragon, causing them to flee in terror to their mountain base to the SW of Rhea. The party ventured to that base to do some scouting, had a brief confrontation with Jessup's forces, and returned to Rhea, where Jessup's men still hesitated to follow.

The party at one point also ventured into the South Brisgan Forest to the North, where they found some kind of gypsy cabin that had been ransacked and abandoned for some time. They found few clues, one being an ornamented dagger with a red griffon insignia on the handle stuck into the front door with a shred of paper hanging from it. The party felt there was more to this place that they weren't seeing, but decided to press on back to Rhea anyway to deal with Jessup.

It was after all this that the party spotted the elusive drow they had been catching glimpses of throughout the game and tracked him down to the southern edge of the city, and it was there they slayed him. Everyone is now standing on the back side of a partly destroyed barn on the southern edge of Rhea, with some serious wounds, searching the body, and about to be confronted by the farmer who ownes the barn. It is approaching dawn...
